Amber cottage is very close to the Quay, town centre and handy for the ferries to Salcome, the leisure centre and Information centre. Within a short walk you can get to many local amenities including a supermarket the main shops in Fore street and many pubs and restaurants.
The local area is packed with things to do. The leisure centre has a coffee shop and bar, swimming pools, a 4 rink indoor bowls hall and two squash courts. You could play a round of golf or just go fishing. Boat hire is readily available and there are some of the best dive sites in the country.
The fishing village of Salcome with its many beautiful beaches can be reached by ferry. There are also many beaches within easy reach. Torbay and Dartmouth, blue flagged Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands are a short drive to the east. Twenty miles to the west is Plymouth with its many attractions. Kingsbridge is surrounded by glorious countryside. It is a walkers paradise with the rugged coastal path and Dartmouth to the north.
The buses from the quay are handy if you want a car free holiday and there are some designated cycle routes. Horse riding is available near by. |
